American Cancels Flights on the East Coast Due to Winter Storm Stella, Offers Flexibility for ...

Winter Storm Stella is impacting our operation. American Airlines, along with our regional partners, have canceled more than 530 flights Monday, March 13, 1,670 flights Tuesday, March 14 and 400 flights Wednesday, March 15, due to the storm.

Ourtravel alertcovers 39 airports — including our New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. hubs — and allows customers whose travel plans are impacted by this inclement weather to rebook without change fees. Customers can reschedule their travel onaa.combyretrieving their reservation, or by contacting American reservations at +1-800-433-7300 in the U.S. or Canada. Customers calling from outside the U.S. or Canada should checkaa.com for our worldwide reservation phone numbers. Customers are also encouraged to check the status of their flight onaa.com.

Here'sthelatest operational details:

Washington, D.C. (DCA):Flights before 8 a.m. ET Tuesday have been canceled. We will gradually resume operations after 8 a.m. ET.

Philadelphia (PHL):Flights before 5 p.m. ET Tuesday have been canceled. We will resume limited operations after 5 p.m. ET.

New York-area airports (LGA/JFK/EWR):All Tuesday flights have been canceled. We plan on resuming normal operations on Wednesday at12 p.m. ET.

Boston (BOS):Flights after 8 a.m. ET Tuesday have been canceled. We plan on resuming normal operations on Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET.

The resumption ofairportoperations will be dependent on weather conditions at the airport, public transit and roadways.

If an Americanflighthas been canceled orexcessivelydelayed, customers may cancel their itinerary andrequest a refund by visiting our website. Customers who booked through a travelagentare requested to contact their agency directly.
