BOC Aviation has placed an order for four Boeing 787-9s and will be leased to Spanish carrierAir Europa. The Singapore-based lessor says in a statement that the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered aircraft will be delivered in 2019. At list prices, the order is valued at USD 1.08 billion. This order is the company’s first for a Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engine, demonstrating our confidence in these fuel-efficient engines that deliver impressive performance,” says BOC Aviation managing director and chief executive Robert Martin. The lease deal is the first betweenAir Europaand BOC Aviation, and the airline says that it will help to grow its 787 fleet to 24 units by 2022.
