- Second year of program challenges pilots to sharpen their aviator skills, offers chance at prizes for participation in learning opportunities

OSHKOSH, Wis.,July 26, 2017/PRNewswire/ -- EAA AIRVENTURE -- Boeing [NYSE: BA], through its subsidiary Jeppesen, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association (AOPA) recently announced the second year of the "CaptainJepp Challenge" program at EAA AirVenture to encourage continued pilot learning and the enhancement of flying skills. Participants in the program will register to attend free, in-person or online seminars, forums, educational courses and webinars throughout the year to earn program points and be eligible for prize drawings.

CaptainJepp Challengepoints are tallied per quarter, and monthly prize drawings will award aUSD 250"MyGoFlight" gift card. Three grand prize winners will receive a trip for two to attend the 2018 EAA AirVenture inOshkosh, Wisconsin, with two-night accommodations and airfare included. PilotsJeff McGuire,Taylor BoaksandKyle Burgesswere the grand prize winners from the first year of the program and are currently attending the AirVenture show, courtesy of Jeppesen.

Pilots interested in the program can register atwww.aopa.org/captainjepp. Participants will earn points by participating in qualifying AOPA Air Safety Institute educational online courses, videos and safety seminars; attending an AOPA Regional Fly-In; or participating in Jeppesen Chart Clinic Confidential webinars. These events promote the enhancement of flight safety and highlight decision making, weather, charts and other related issues.

The CaptainJepp Challengehonors the spirit of Jeppesen founder CaptainElrey B. Jeppesen, who took it upon himself to initially chart the skies, obstacles, landing strips and more in order to improve flight safety for all pilots.
