KLM has taken delivery of its 29thand final Boeing 777 under existing orders, with the -300ER-model aircraft having been accepted by chief executive Pieter Elbers at the manufacturer's Everett plant in Washington on 26 September.
Due to be flown to the Dutch carrier's maintenance facility at Amsterdam Schiphol airport where it will arrive on 28 September, aircraft PH-BVU will conduct its first revenue flight two days later.

Flight Fleets Analyzer records KLM as already operating 28 777s, comprising 15 -200-series examples and 13 other -300ERs. The latest aircraft is also the 99thexample of the widebody twinjet to have been delivered to Air France-KLM Group, which now has no outstanding orders for the type.
As part of its long-haul fleet modernisation process, KLM has also added 10 787-9s to its fleet, with its McDonnell Douglas DC-11s already retired and its remaining 747-400s to be phased out. Deliveries of a dozen 787-10s will begin in 2019, and the carrier is additionally set to introduce seven Airbus A350-900s.
